PLL Spencer's Alex

I can't help it. Every time I see Alex. The main character Spencer's boyfriend.

I see Orlando Seale (Pride and Prejudice 2003: Pink Bible, Everything you want and an episode of Reign)

I think it's how sweet they both are screen and in every part I have seen Orlando in he is a lot like Alex, kind and very supportive of his woman.

Gilmore Girls Movie

Please forgive my next few posts, they are thoughts written down via mobile.

I have been going throught withdraws, mostly missing Loreali, never a huge fan or Rory but a HUGE fan of Dean :)

So I've been searching the Web for a replacement and have found not a lot but some call for a movie, most of the proper plot lines are lame, like Rory getting called back for her mom's wedding.  I have a few ideas I like but haven't put together yet.

  • Loreali and Luke have lived together long enough to have a common law wedding and Star's Hollow throws them a wedding against their will
  • Jess' book gets auctioned as a movie AND his only demand is that it is filmed in Star's Hollow. Rory volunteers to write about it. Lots of opportunity for classic Luke/Taylor comedy.

Pretty Little Liars

My first impression is that it is a rip off of Wysteria lane. It's more Desperate Housewives than I'm sure fans would like to admit. It also reminds me that all dramas seam to center around High School or an Office. DH is actually impressive that they can use a neighborhood. Even sitcoms struggle to keep their characters together having everyone meet up at the McClaren's or The Central Perk.

I like the opening credits, the title song is just creepy enough and very catchy. When watching the Pilot and seeing Aria shush the camera I thought "oh that's cool, the girl that shush in the opening will be the center of that episode" sadly this just strengthens Aria as the frontrunner. . .sad I think I like Spencer best.

Don'the look up the ages of the actors. It's cray-cray ;)

That 70's Show

"Hanging Out
Down the Street
The Same Old Thing
We did Last Week!"

For the first month of my new baby's life her lullaby was the theme song to this classic show.  My husband and I teased and would sing it to her when we put her to sleep.  It didn't really "work" in that she would fall asleep but we enjoyed it.

I love this show because you can easily watch episodes out of order and still laugh and catch on with what is going on.  I particularly love the pilot and the finale.  The finale is perfect and closes that decade perfectly.  I especially appreciate that they got Topher Grace (Eric Foreman) back for the last episode.  The gang is definitely in my 'I'm bored' rotation.  I usually get bored around the last season so I can't be sure I've seen every episode but probably about 90%.

"Not a thing to do
but talk to you
we're all alright
we're all alright"

TV Review Prologue

I gave birth to my first baby in October and always heard to have books and movies on hand because you have a lot of time to kill.  I thought that applied to the hospital and while that might apply to other mothers, it was not true for me.  I was in the hospital for about 12 hours before I met my daughter but I was never bored.  This could have been because it was my first baby and I was constantly talking to my husband or Mom or the nurses asking questions.

Long story-short, I found myself watching the most TV after she was born.  I turn on netflix in the middle of the night, while I'm nursing, when I'm exhausted but can't sleep because shes's awake or because I just want to hold my little girl.  The following posts are my thoughts after binge watching shows on Netflix.

A Change in Focus

Sad but true, it has been a long time since my Gender Studies course that started this blog and I think it needs to be updated.  I have no real intent for this blog so it may have a lot of different postings but hopefully the posts won't ramble too much.  I hope to keep posting to keep my own sanity.  I believe everyone needs a creative outlet.
